USD 340 Jefferson West would like to take this opportunity to inform you of our student accident insurance coverage. In the event that your child/student is injured, your personal insurance will be the primary coverage. The district has insurance with Student Assurance Services that will be secondary insurance for injuries that rise to the mid-catastrophic level, impacting claims of $10,000 to $25,000. This insurance will start the first day of practice and will provide coverage through the entire sports season.
You may purchase additional insurance from someone of your choice to help offset any medical claims that you may incur due to injury. We have listed a few companies at the bottom of this sheet that handle insurance that you may want to consider speaking with.
