What an exciting year I have planned for you! Hope you've had a great summer. I know that I had the opportunity to travel through and to eight awesome states this summer with our FCCLA Chapter Showcase Manual team of Madison Fangman, Sarah Allison, and Jacey Guy as they competed at the National FCCLA STAR Events in Orlando, Florida. This event competition is called Students Taking Action with Recognition. Our girls brought back a gold medal and score of 99.3%! We are so proud of them and their journey from District to State to Nationals. Want to Be A Part of that excitement? Join FCCLA today for $17.00 and be able to attend all local, district, state and national meetings. Any student who has taken a FCS class or is in one or will be in one this year can join. Students who have been in FCCLA get a $1.00 discount for every year they join. See Mrs. Abbott is Room 107 for an application today. 6th-8th grade FCS classes are exciting, creative and interesting! We will be doing many activities that teach you life skills. Learn how to make a project on a sewing machine, prepare healthy meals, take care of young children, build healthy relationships, budget your money, develop communication skills and achieve dynamic leadership! That's right the world is at your fingertips.
