Welcome Back to School

by Pat Happer

August 15, 2008

Dear Students and Parents

I want to welcome you back to school.  As I visited with many of you the past couple of weeks I believe the consensus is that this summer went very fast.  That reminds us how fast our children grow.  We hope that each of you had an enjoyable summer and that the kids are ready for school. We plan to have another great year of learning and having fun for the students as they continue to develop their academic skills.  Our teachers have been very busy preparing for the first day of school and are excited to have your child in their class.

We are implementing a new language arts/reading program this year, which we anticipate will help your child develop his/her skills at even higher levels.  I look forward to hearing your children tell me about their summer and the many things they have done and plan to do.

Remember you are always invited to come to school during the day or have lunch with your child.  You may want to let your child’s teacher know you will be visiting and the let office know if you are coming for lunch so we can add you to our lunch count.

Thank you for choosing to send your child to Jeff West.  We will do everything possible to provide a safe learning environment for your child and to ensure your child develops academic skills that will enable her/him to meet the challenges of tomorrow.

Please contact us any time you have an question or concern.
