HS Debate
The Jefferson West High School Debate team attended the Kansas State High School Activities Association State Debate tournaments the weekend of January 22-23, 2010 in Goddard. Attending were state qualifiers: Tabatha Bell, Laura Newberry, Sierra Lillie and Coach Mary Naumann. Laura and Sierra were the representing team with Tabatha as their timekeeper. The team came away from the meet with a 2-4 record. Students qualify for state by posting a 50% or better record throughout the season. Laura had a 78% win record and Sierra, a 74% record. They posted a 5-0 record (undefeated) in their competition at Seaman High School this year!
