JEFF WEST LADY GOLFERS TAKE FIRST

The Jefferson West High School girls’ golf team won their first tournament of the year last Thursday, August 26th, at Lake Perry Country Club. The Lady Tigers score of 173 was twenty-one strokes ahead of runner-up Silver Lake. Individual medalist winners for the team were Jade Brake,2nd place, Abbie Thelen, 3rd place, Kati Richmond, 6th place, Tana Kern, 8th place, and Ally West, 12th place. Also playing for the Tigers was freshman Madison Fangman. There were 8 teams and 40 girls participating in the event. The next tournament is Wednesday, September 1st, at Sunflower Hills in Bonner Springs.
