Jefferson West Middle School 5th graders completed Kansas Day projects. Each student researched a famous Kansan or Kansas place of interest. To culminate the project each student presented their information. They could dress up like a favorite Kansan for presenting or build a model to demonstrate knowledge gained. Pictured below:
- Jessy Gudenkauf depicts Amelia Earhart.
- Jamie Christenberry dresses as a pioneer women in her journey across the Santa Fe Trail.
- Dylan Frey displays a German Mars Rover related to the Cosmosphere in Hutchison. Students were amazed that the model actually moved across the room.
