JWES

Mission Statement

Educating all students to meet the challenges to tomorrow's opportunities.

HOLY COW…Its May!  Where has the year gone?  I was just making plans for the new school year and it is over.  Thank you to all that have made this year a great one at JWES.  To the USD 340 teachers and staff that pour their hearts and souls into their teaching, feeding, guiding, counseling, managing, transporting, band-aiding, and maintaining buildings for our students.  Thank you to the parents and families that are there for the students and us when we need you.  Thank you to the students who work hard (most of the time J) and strive to be the best Tigers they can be.  Thank you to the volunteers that give their time to come in and read with students, sort library books, run the country store, or help the teachers with many, many needs.  To all of the friends and families out there in Tiger Country…you all made the 2013-2014 school year the greatest ever... THANK YOU!

Now get out there and enjoy some summer!

We believe our most treasured resources are the children of our community.
We envision a school that: - Creates a positive learning atmosphere
- Develops opportunities for student success in the twenty-first century
- Nurtures social interactions
- Encourages choices based on reason, respect and responsibility
- Fosters communication and involvement among students, parents, staff and community
- Exposes children to the worlds of yesterday, today and tomorrow
- Recognizes personal growth in all areas
- Adapts to meet the needs of all the students in our community
- Develops skills of independent and interdependent learners
