Mission Statement

Educating all students to meet the challenges to tomorrow's opportunities.

Welcome Back Tiger Fans!

The 2014-15 school year is upon us and we are ready at JWES.  We have new paint, new technology, a new music teacher, and new students.  I welcome back our returning families and welcome to our new families. I hope you all had a fun and relaxing summer.  If you see one of our custodians or maintenance workers, please be sure to give a HUGE thank you for their hard work this summer.  They had a lot of projects to do and accomplished them all.

The teachers are raring and ready to teach.  The classrooms are coming together and looking more and more ready for students everyday.  It was good to see many of you at enrollment.  I loved hearing about all of your summer fun and adventures.  So many of you had great stories!

August 19th is almost here, so get in your last summer swim or take one more trip if you can.  Back-to-School Night is Monday, August 18th from 5:00-6:30pm.  Bring your school supplies, find your room, and meet your teacher.  JWES Open House for parents to visit with this year’s teacher is on Thursday, August 28th from 6:00-7:30pm.  See you all soon…

GO TIGERS!

- Nurtures social interactions
- Encourages choices based on reason, respect and responsibility
- Fosters communication and involvement among students, parents, staff and community
- Exposes children to the worlds of yesterday, today and tomorrow
- Recognizes personal growth in all areas
- Adapts to meet the needs of all the students in our community
- Develops skills of independent and interdependent learners
