Welcome to the Library
Mission Statement: The mission of the library media center program is to support literacy and provide our students with the skills to use libraries and information resources to enhance their abilities as life-long readers and learners.
 
Philosophy:
• The purpose of the library is to support the school and district curriculums and classrooms and students’ interests.
• Scheduled visits to the library have a purpose and all activities are supportive of the curriculum.
• Classes and small groups are scheduled into the library for varying periods appropriate to need. Individuals may check-out books and materials as needed throughout the day.
• Use of the library for activities co-planned by the teacher and library media specialist has priority.
• Student and staff use of the library may be scheduled for activities not needing the library media specialist.
