Biographical Information
¡Hola! Yo soy Señora Sara Becker. He ensenado español uno a cuatro desde el año 2005 aquí en Jefferson West. Soy la entrenadora del equipo de voleibol y soy una asistente para el equipo de track. Me encanta la lengua española y su cultura. Es mi objetivo a compartir mi entusiasmo con mis estudiantes cada día.
Soy de Parkville, Missouri (cerca de Kansas City) y me gradué de Park Hill South High School en el año 2001. Me gradué de la universidad en el año 2005 de Benedictine College con una especialidad en la educación secundaria y español. En la universidad yo jugué voleibol y fue miembro del Alpha Mu Gamma (grupo español de honores), y bailé en el equipo de dance por un año. Mientras estudiando en la universidad, asistí un programa de estudiar como extranjero en Cuernavaca, Mexico por tres meses. Ahora, consigo mi Master’s Degree en educación por Baker University. Voy a graduarme en el Mayo 2010.
Me casé con mi esposo Tim en el 8 de Marzo, 2008. Ahora vivimos en Effingham, KS con nuestros dos perros Bailey y Scout. Disfruto pasar tiempo con familia y amigos, jugar todos los deportes, y pasar tiempo en el aire libre. También, me gusta viajar a estados y países diferentes. Los países que he visitado incluyen Canadá, México, Belice, Honduras, los Bahamas, y España.
Hello! My name is Mrs. Sara Becker. I have taught Spanish one through four at Jeff West since 2005. Currently I am the head volleyball coach and an assistant track coach. I truly love the Spanish language culture and language. It is my goal to pass my enthusiasm to each of my students everyday.
I am from Parkville, Missouri (near Kansas City) and I graduated from Park Hill South High School in 2001. In 2005 I graduated from Benedictine College, double majoring in Spanish and Secondary Education. In college I played varsity volleyball for four years, I was a member of Alpha Mu Gamma (a Spanish honors society), and I danced for one year on the Benedictine dance team. While studying in college, I attended a study abroad program in Cuernavaca, Mexico over a three month span. Currently, I am pursuing my master’s degree in education through Baker University. I am on track to graduate in May 2010.
I married my husband Tim on March 8, 2008. We currently live in Effingham, KS in our funeral home with our two dogs Bailey and Scout. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, playing all types of sports, and spending time outdoors. I also enjoy traveling to different states and countries. Countries I have visited include Canada, Mexico, Belize, Honduras, the Bahamas, and Spain.
