Twenty-eight year English teaching career Jefferson West High School, Meriden, KS2007-present Lawrence Gardner High School @ Youth Center at Topeka, Topeka, KS 1989-2007 Lebo High School, Lebo, KS 1986-89 Seaman High School, Topeka, KS 1984-86 My wife and I live in Ozawkie at 301 Kiowa Drive. Rena is JWHS's biology teacher and NHS sponsor. Together we have five adult children: Keli Hess of Gardner, KS; Elexia, Ted, and Jill Kilgore, all of Lawrence, Kansas, and Laura Newberry, a student at Georgia Tech. I am a native Kansan, born in Greensburg, KS to Robert and Nita Kilgore. My two younger sisters are also native Kansans as are their husbands. Karla Johnston lives in Kiowa, and Kayla Queen lives in Manhattan. As an English teacher, my favorite novel is Joseph Heller's timeless work Catch-22. To many Heller aficianados, this book reveals many issues particular to the 20th Century. And if could escape into the life of a fictional character, Heller's occasional man Captain John Yossarian would be my choice. Obviously, I love reading, and I also enjoy listening and playing music, working outdoors, and grooving on the Internet. Catch me at home sometime and I"ll show you around the acreage, that 140 years ago was called "the home of scholarly men."
