Advisory Week 9

 

Pillar: Trustworthiness

 

March 1 – March 5

 

Monday: Check in day, Lets check GPA’s

                       A – 4

                       B – 3

                       C – 2

                       D – 1

                       F – 0

Look at student grades and have them add up there points and divide by 8, unless a student does not have a grade for a class. Have the students round to the nearest thousandths (three places after the decimal). Add up your GPA’s and divide by the number of students you have. Email me your results!

 

Tuesday: Agenda Check

 

Wednesday – Friday:   What is trustworthiness?

                                   Make a list of people you think are trustworthy.

                                   What makes those people trustworthy?

                                   What traits make a person trustworthy?

                                   Evaluate yourself, are you trustworthy?

                                   What can you change to be more trustworthy?

 

Definition of Trustworthiness: deserving of trust or confidence; dependable; reliable; loyal.

 

 

Advisory Week 10

 

Pillar: Trustworthiness (Integrity)

Integrity: Stand up for your beliefs; Follow your conscience; Be honorable and upright; Live by your principles no matter what others say; Have the courage to do what is right and to try new things even when it is hard, costly; Build and guard your reputation

 

March 8 – March 12

 

Monday: Grade check, GPA standings, End of Quarter Friday

 

Tuesday: Agenda Check

 

Wednesday – Thursday:

                       What is Integrity?

                       How does it relate to Trustworthiness?

                       How does peer pressure affect your Integrity?

                       How do your choices reflect or shape your Integrity?

 

Have students reflect on how they hope their integrity looks to others and what choices can they make in order to have the integrity they wish to have.

 

Friday: Have a little celebration with your students to celebrate the end of the 3rd quarter. If you wish have them bring snacks and have a relaxing Friday.
