USD 340 was just approved for the StopiT App that supports several student and school safety supports. The app provides students, parents and administrators an anonymous platform where staff and students can anonymously report threats. The app also provides after school access for students who may need help or someone to talk to by connecting them to live counselors. We are happy to have received the grant and will be releasing more information in the next couple weeks as we train staff and bring the application live. We will also be providing information to parents so you can work with your student on installing the app. By working together and providing more safe options for students to anonymously share information we can continue to keep our students, staff, schools and community safe. We look forward to continuing this conversation.
