JW All-School Carnival: Please see pink sheet for wristband information and sign up. Also, don’t forget to send your baked goods (Kindergarten), sodas/Gatorades (1st and 3rd Grade), and movie theater candy (2nd and 4th) by April 21st!! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out!
Kindergarten Round-Up/Screening: Be sure to get signed up for a slot on our Sign-Up Genius! If you have not received an invitation to the link, please call us at 785-484-2455. You can also find it pinned to our website www.usd340.org and on our Jefferson West Elementary Facebook page. We look forward to meeting all of the new littles!
Love and Logic: YOU’RE INVITED to this completely free to you, six-session curriculum to improve practical skills between you and your littles…and not-so-littles… at home AND in the classroom. Presented by Leslie Bruton, these sessions will take place in the JWES library. Please watch your email and child(rens) folder for flyers/registration providing more information. Limited space is available!
State Testing: Spring is here; as well as State Testing Time!! 3rd and 4th grade will be testing on April 11th and 13th for reading, then again on April 18th and 20th for math. Please help your child be successful by making sure they get a good night’s rest, eat a good breakfast, and be on time to school. Mr. Sturgeon will be providing a free breakfast to the 3rd and 4th graders on Thursday, April 6th. (Please note, April 6th is NOT a test day, just a fun kickoff to get everybody in the Tiger spirit.)
Note from Nurse Abby: Parents of 4th Grade students: Your child is bringing home a permission slip today to opt in for the 4th grade Hygiene/Puberty Lesson. Please complete the form and return it to school. Contact Nurse Abby, abby.martin@usd340.org, with any questions or concerns.
