Note from Nurse Abby: Jefferson County Health Department provides vaccinations including flu shots for children and adults on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Call JCHD at 785-403-0025 to schedule an appointment. They accept Medicare Part B, BCBS, United Healthcare, and KanCare insurance.
Halloween: Tis the season! Halloween is coming up quickly, and we wanted to throw out a few reminders. In accordance with school policies, we will follow the guidelines of NO replica of weapons: firearms, swords, chains, clubs, pitchforks, or anything that could be used as a weapon. No roller blades will be allowed. No pets of any kind will be allowed. All treats that are brought to school, including Halloween treats, need to be store-bought and prepackaged. Please do not open the package to decorate the treats at home. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter and for keeping our children safe from food allergies.
Skyward Alerts Test: If you have a 2nd grader or younger, you should receive a text message and email on Monday, October 16th at approximately 9:00 a.m. This will be a test to ensure our system is working correctly. If you do not receive both of these things, please contact the office at 484-2455 or erin.watson@usd340.org and we will make sure everything is loaded correctly. Thank you for your patience and assistance on this matter.
“Rooms Help Desk”: “Rooms” will have a virtual “Help Desk” set up at the High School on Wednesday, the 18th from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. This virtual Q&A is open to any and all staff and parents to ask questions or seek help regarding our new communications app.
