We were excited to see all the new AND returning faces this year. We look forward to watching your children learn and grown this school year. Here are a couple of reminders:

1. Weekly bulletins will be sent home every Friday with your child. They will also be posted on our district website: www.usd340.org.

2. When sending money to the school for lunches/milk, please make checks payable to USD 340 and have your child’s name on the memo. If sending cash, please put the cash in a sealed envelope and write “lunch money” and your child’s name on the outside of the envelope.

3. If your child will be absent for the day, please notify the office by 9:00 A.M. stating the reason he or she is not in school. If proper notification is not received by 9:00 A.M., the student will receive an unexcused absence for the day.

4. If you are at a doctor’s appointment, please bring a doctor’s note back with you.

5. Please be mindful of our limited parking and security measures we must take to keep our children safe. When dropping your child(ren) off in the morning, we encourage you to use the car lane. If you need to walk your child to the door, we ask that you utilize the “hug zone” just outside of the school doors at the red line. If you have a bill to pay or delivery to make, you’re welcome to come into the building.

6. Late start days for the 2025-2026 school year will be: September 12^th, October 24^th, January 16^th, February 13^th, March 27^th, April 17^th, and May 8^th. On these days, buses and breakfast will run 2 hours late, the doors will open at 9:30 A.M., and classes will begin at 10:00 A.M. Please plan accordingly. Thank you!

Note from the nurses: Please be vigilant about turning in your physicals and immunizations, if you have not already done so. An exclusion date will be coming, and we want to ensure all students remain in class. Thank you.
