Halloween 🎃: All treats that are brought to school, including Halloween treats, need to be store-bought and prepackaged. Please do not open the package to decorate the treats at home. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter and for keeping our children safe from food allergies. The students will be in the class learning until 1:45. Parties will start at 2:00. In addition, we are asking that all parents leave the school building at 2:30 so we can line the students up for the parade. The parade will begin at 2:40. The parade will go down Main Street to the Post Office, turn around, and comeback to the elementary school. The parade could be canceled if it is raining or the temperature is below 45 degrees For the safety of all the children, following the parade, all students from kindergarten through 4th will reenter the building prior to any parents coming inside. Once the students are safely in their classrooms, we will open the front door and parents may go to their child’s classroom and sign them out. In accordance with school policies, we will follow the guidelines of NO replica of weapons: firearms, knives, swords, chains, clubs, pitchforks, or anything that could be used as a weapon. No rollerblades will be allowed. No pets of any kind will be allowed.
Local Trunk or Treats: Meriden/Ozawkie Area Chamber of Commerce, 7312 K4 Hwy, on October 30th from 3:45 P.M. – 5:00 P.M. (Check out the flyer that went home in your child’s bookbag!) St. Aloysius Church parking lot, 615 E Wyandotte St., on October 30th at 5:30 P.M.
Holiday Dinner: Thursday, November 12th! The cost is $5.25 per person. Lunch times are as follows: Kindergarten – 11:00 A.M.; 1st Grade – 11:30 A.M.; 2nd Grade – 12:00 P.M.; 4th Grade – 12:15 P.M.; 3rd Grade – 12:30 P.M. Reservation forms were sent home last Friday and are DUE NOVEMBER 2ND – NO EXCEPTIONS! This deadline is necessary to ensure we order enough food for everyone who has made a reservation. PLEASE NOTE: This is a date change from the district calendar, and lunch times are approximate. We look forward to sharing a holiday meal with our Tigers and their families!
