What a wonderful first week of school! We were so excited to see all the new AND returning faces this year. We look forward to watching your children learn and grow during the 22-23 school year. Couple of reminders:
- Weekly bulletins will be sent home every Friday, as well as posted on our district website. www.usd340.org
- When sending money to the school for lunches/milk, please make check payable to USD 340 and have your child’s name on the memo. If sending cash, please put the cash in a sealed envelope and write lunch money and your child’s name on the outside of the envelope.
- Any day your child is absent, please notify the office by 9:00 a.m. stating the reason he or she is not in school. If proper notification is not received by 9:00 a.m., the student will receive an unexcused absence for that day.
- If you are at a doctor’s appt, please bring a doctor’s note back with you. We ARE tracking attendance this year.
- Please be mindful of our limited parking and security measures we must take to keep our children safe. When dropping your child(ren) off in the morning, we ask that you utilize the “hug zone” just outside the school doors at the red line. If you have a bill to pay, or a delivery to make, you are welcome to come in to the building, as we are not closed.
Note from Nurse Abby: Jefferson West School District will provide Dental Screenings to all students enrolled, unless their parent/guardian has notified the school, to opt their child(ren) out of the dental screening. Please send a signed note or email Nurse Abby, abby.martin@usd340.org by September 20th, if you want your student opted out of the screening.

August 31st - Parent Night at 6:00 P.M.
September 2nd- Late Start – School starts at 9:00. Busses will run one hour late.
September 5th- NO SCHOOL – Labor Day
