In case of inclement weather: Please be watching for School Closing Announcements. Every attempt will be made to notify the public by 6:30 A.M. if school is to be closed or opening delayed in the morning. Only on very rare occasions will school close early. When school is to be closed or delayed, the following radio and TV stations will be notified: Radio, WIBW-AM (580), WIBW-FM (94.5), KMAJ-AM (1440), KMAJ-FM (107.7). Television stations: Channels 13, 27, and 49. In order for you to receive Skylert messages from the school, please make sure that the office has your current contact information.
Winter Read Night: Please join us December 1st from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM for our annual Winter Read Night at JWES! Some of the events include cookie decorating; BINGO for books, holiday crafts, Santa and Mrs. Clause will read a story, Christmas Carols, Games, Flashlight Reading, and so much more! We expect this to be our biggest year yet! (Please note: We are still in need of tubs of frosting for cookie decorating)
Winter Wear: It took a little longer than normal, but winter has officially arrived! We will continue to have recess as long as the temperature is above 15 degrees. Please be vigilant about sending your children to school with coats, gloves, and hats. We will do our best to ensure they all return home at the end of the day. If you are need of any of these items, please reach out to us at 484-2455.
Christmas Food Drive: JWES is holding their Christmas food drive to benefit God’s Storehouse from November 28th through December 16th. Please bring nonperishable food items to the Elementary School. Share what you can.
