Hello, my name is Austin Anderson, Student Council President at Jefferson West High School. On January 13th, the Student Council is hosting our annual “Pink Out” basketball games. This is an annual event to raise money, support, and hope for a local family battling cancer. Our recipient, Sylvia, is facing childhood Leukemia. Sylvia is a Jefferson West Kindergartener that was diagnosed with A.L.L in December of 2019. After receiving her first treatment, she went into remission. However, in the fall of 2022, the cancer returned and she is currently at a Children’s Hospital receiving a T Cell transplant and can’t join us right now.
JWHS Student Council will be hosting a variety of opportunities to raise money for Sylvia at the home basketball games on January 13th; game time is 6:00 pm. Opportunities to share your generosity include a 1⁄4 pound beef raffle, donations for a t-shirt or luminaries, or a free-will donation. Every donation and prayer is greatly appreciated.
