Jeff West Ball Association: Registration is currently open and ends February 17th. Please visit leaguelineup.com/gojeffwest for online registration. There will also be an in-person registration at the community room, north of Gambino’s, February 4 from 9am-noon!
Art to Remember: Our school is participating in a creative fundraiser with Art to Remember that allows you to purchase keepsake products customized with your child’s art. Right now, children are busy creating colorful, fun artwork, and soon you will be able to order these keepsakes online. For more information, please contact our art teacher, Mrs. Bevitt at cassy.bevitt@usd340.org
Cell Phone policy reminder: Students are prohibited from using cell phones at school, on the school grounds during the school day and on the school bus. If a student uses a cell phone at school, the phone will be confiscated and returned to the student at the end of the student day. Any further violations will result in the phone being returned to the student’s parents. The school is not responsible for any cell phone damage. This includes Apple watches and similar types of devices.
Strep Notice: We are still seeing absences due to strep infection. Strep symptoms usually develop 2-5 days from exposure. Strep is very contagious. Parents as well as school staff have NOT reported fevers with the positive strep test, but many have reported sore throat and/or skin sores/rash. Please monitor your child for symptoms, keep them home if they are ill, and follow up with your medical provider. Also, a reminder to call the office each day your child is absent. We appreciate you sharing what you are seeing at home with illness. It helps everyone know what we need to be watching for.
