The State of Kansas each year has school districts nominate one elementary and one secondary teacher to be recognized as a candidate for the Kansas Teacher of the Year Program. These teachers are nominated by their peers and will go through an extensive application process to be considered at the regional and state level. It is always an honor to be selected by your peers as an educator that demonstrates excellence in the classroom and cares deeply about students and their learning.
Congratulations to Sara Becker – HS Foreign Language teacher, Secondary Kansas Teacher of the Year candidate.
And congratulations to Amanda Hammond – 5th Grade teacher, Elementary Kansas Teacher of the Year candidate.
We wish the best of luck to both Sara and Amanda at the regional and state level competitions. TIGER ROAR!!

Bullying is not an option.
Never bully anyone. Stop friends who bully someone. NO ONE deserves it, or should have to deal with it. If you're being bullied, don't be embarrassed to tell your parents or another adult. They'll want to know, and want to help you.
