Join us for a great time and support the High School Threatre Troupe! “Once upon a time, there was a little ogre named Shrek….” And thus begins the tale of an unlikely hero who finds himself on a life-changing journey alongside a wisecracking Donkey and a feisty princess who resists her rescue. St. Patrick's Day
From Mrs. Becker, SADD Sponsor... Proud of the event my SADD club and I held Friday at school. It was a fun and engaging, and potentially life is saving day emphasizing the importance of positive decision making. Joe White shared his raw and emotional story that I believe students will carry with them. Special thanks to... the Kansas Highway Patrol who provided a traffic tip talk with Lt. Dan McCullum and the Seatbelt Convicer that simulates an 8-10 mph crash with Lt. Jodi Clary. Sergent Dana Boyer with the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department and our SRO Chuck Haggard, helped the students navigate an obstacle course while wearing the "Fatal Vision Goggles" (aka drunk goggles). And Nurses Abby Martin and Heather Kahler demonstrated the AED and helped teach chest compressions. Also thanks to the Kansas SAFE (Seatbelts Are For Everyone) program for the funding to hold these events and for providing resources. TIGER ROAR!!!
