Hello!  My name is Maret Schrader, and I am the School Counselor at Jeff West Middle School.  This is my fifth year as a Tiger.  

Before I became a school counselor, I was a Freshman Language Arts teacher at The Seaman Freshman Center.  I earned my Bachelor's degree in English Education from Emporia State and earned my Master's Degree in School Counseling from ESU as well.  Stingers up! 

As a teacher, I saw that building relationships with students was the secret to student success and found that the role of a school counselor could be / should be an important part of that educational journey.  

In my free time, I love spending time with my family.  My husband Clayton and I, along with our daughters Charlotte (10) and Cora (3) love to travel and have visited many National Parks across the country.  I enjoy exercising and reading a good true crime novel.  

I am so proud to call Jeff West my home.  It takes a village to raise a child, and I'm so blessed to be a part of yours.
