Who We Are
The JW Community Bond Committee is a group of community members representing a wide range of perspectives, backgrounds, and experiences within USD 340. Our members include individuals with differing viewpoints on a potential bond issue, including those who may support it, oppose it, or are still gathering information.
We have worked to build a committee that reflects the diversity of our community, including teachers, parents, retirees, farmers, business and working professionals, alumni, community newcomers, and others who care about the future of our schools and community.
Important Note: The committee serves as a voice for the community and is not a representative body of the school board. Our role is to listen, gather feedback, and help ensure community perspectives are heard throughout this process.
Our Purpose
The purpose of the committee is to identify and understand what the USD 340 community wants and values regarding a potential school bond proposal. Through community engagement, discussion, and feedback, the committee will develop recommendations to present to the Board of Education in August for consideration on the November ballot.
