Columbus Day originated in the late 1800’s as a celebration of Italian-American heritage. It was made a national holiday in 1937 and moved to the 2nd Monday of October in 1971. Today, the holiday commemorates the anniversary of Christopher Columbus's landing in the Americas on October 12, 1492.
Indigenous Peoples' Day recognizes and honors the history, culture, and perseverance of Indigenous peoples in the Americas. This is a day to celebrate their ongoing resilience, vibrant cultures, and significant contributions to society.

Mr. Sturgeon handed out student certificates and then they did their monthly competition for the spirit stick! We were excited to have Nurse Abby was our judge! She determined the 2nd Grade was the loudest for the win of the spirit stick! Way to go, 2nd Grade!





The Jr. Weststeppers worked hard learning and dancing and now they will perform TONIGHT! The performance will be at the football field at 6:30 P.M. sharp, BEFORE the football game! We'll see you there to cheer them on, Tigers!

You made it through the first 9 weeks, Tigers! Way to go!

The performance will be Friday, October 10th at 6:30 P.M. before the Varsity Football Game.

This will be an evening for students in 1st grade through 4th grade to bring their families to the library to read books and take AR tests. We hope to see you there! 📚
