The Celebration Assembly this morning was 📢LOUD📢 and exciting! The pictures speak for themselves!

Mr. Sturgeon handed out student certificates and then they did their monthly competition for the spirit stick! We were excited to have Nurse Abby was our judge! She determined the 2nd Grade was the loudest for the win of the spirit stick! Way to go, 2nd Grade!

The Jr. Weststeppers worked hard learning and dancing and now they will perform TONIGHT! The performance will be at the football field at 6:30 P.M. sharp, BEFORE the football game! We'll see you there to cheer them on, Tigers!

REMINDER: School will dismiss at 11:45 A.M. TOMORROW, Friday, October 10th. Busses will run like normal at that time. Please have transportation ready if your child is a car rider. Please report transportation changes to the office by 10:00 A.M. at 785-484-2455 or write the change in your child's planner.

Reminder that the Jr. Weststepper's Clinic will be tonight at the high school at 6:00 P.M.

The performance will be Friday, October 10th at 6:30 P.M. before the Varsity Football Game.

Reminder that the TigAR Read Night will be in the Elementary School library TOMORROW, October 8th from 4:30 P.M. - 6:00 P.M.

This will be an evening for students in 1st grade through 4th grade to bring their families to the library to read books and take AR tests. We hope to see you there! 📚

Jefferson West USD 340 joins all Kansas schools in observing Oct. 6-10, the first full week of October, as Kansas Anti-Bullying Week, part of National Bullying Prevention Month.

This week is an important time to amplify conversations about bullying, raise awareness and promote anti-bullying discussions and strategies in the community. It’s also a time to recognize the responsibility to safeguard schools to ensure physically safe and emotionally secure environments for all Kansas students and school staff.

Encourage Positive Actions
• Be a buddy, not a bully
• Choose kindness over cruelty
• Kindness is cool, bullying is not

Speak Out
• Stand up, speak out, stop bullying
• Don't tolerate bullying, speak up
• Be an upstander, not a bystander

This Friday is starting off great, all thanks to these ladies! These Country Store moms have put in SO MUCH work to make this experience amazing for our kiddos. All the kids came in this morning PUMPED UP that they get to go shopping today. Thank you ladies so much for all you do!

We had a GREAT Homecoming Spirit Week! 🐯 We loved seeing the kiddos and staff all dressed up!
