The District E-West Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America Chapter recently held officer elections at St. Marys High School for the 2023-2024 district officer team. The following students were selected to office and will be inducted at the State Leadership Conference in Wichita on April 16-18, 2023.

The lady wrestlers competed well today at 4-3-2-1A regional wrestling. Congratulations to Sophia Waters who placed 2nd. She is STATE BOUND!!!!


Two Hour Delay today, Thursday, February ninth. Do to poor road conditions Jefferson West USD 340 will be on a two hour delay. Patron Breakfast is cancelled.

Out of an abundance of anticipation of celebrating a Chiefs Victory Sunday Night and the approaching strong red snow storm coming from Phoenix, there will be no school on Monday, February 13th. All regularly scheduled activities will continue as planned unless other forecasted weather impacts those events. USD 340 staff will be completing required professional development and required employee training remotely on Monday. Please enjoy this special time with your friends and family as we support our Kansas City Chiefs!

Local law enforcement had some actions in our vicinity, USD 340 schools went into Shelter in Place during that time. All is now clear.
Girls Varsity Basketball placed 6th at the Wellsville Top Gun Tournament. The lady Tigers lost to Baldwin the first night, Defeated Wellsville the next round and dropped a close battle to Lansing on Saturday. During the parade of Champions Halle Tuck was recognized as a member of the Academic all tournament team.


Congratulations to the male wrestlers that placed at the Baldwin meet on Saturday. 6th place- Keaton Shelman, 4th place- Karson Kahler, and 2nd place Osiris Unruh.
Congratulations to the girls wrestlers who participated at the Baldwin tournament. Placing were:7th place Josalene Schnacker, 5th place Lucy Henderson, 5th place Hailey Branstetter, and 2nd place Sophia Waters.

On January 25th, 2023 three JW students, Brett O'Neal, Mya Vetsch, and Guy Phillips participated in Washburn High School Honor Band on held on Washburn Campus. There were 26 schools with over 250 students participating. The band members after a day of working with two very well known composers, performed a concert in White Concert Hall.
