Our summer golf workouts are in full swing. Seven golfers from our group competed in the Topeka Junior Tournament on Monday. Jake Rowe had a particularly outstanding day today! After practicing at the range, Jake joined several other golfers for a round, where he successfully scored his first hole-in-one, putting him one stroke ahead of Coach Lawhorn. Way to go, Jake!

Jefferson West High School is accepting orders for the "Tiger Walk" to recognize alumni and supporters of the school. You can have your name inscribed on a brick and placed permanently on the Tiger Walk. The walk is in front of the main entrance of the High School. This project not only improves the appearance of our school building, but also improves drainage in that area. It's simple and here's how it works. INDIVIDUALS: This is an opportunity to honor your children, grandchildren, friends, or loved ones no longer with us, by having their name inscribed on a brick permanently placed on the Tiger Walk. The cost is $25.00 for each inscribed brick. CORPORATE SPONSORS: If you wish to become a corporate sponsor with your company's name place permanently on the Tiger Walk for public recognition of your support for Jefferson West High School, we suggest a $100.00 donation. Last week your JWHS Varsity Cheerleaders attended UCA Cheer camp at Sterling College. They worked very hard to grow in their skills and become a team. They received numerous awards, as well. Coach Bahr and Coach Petrie are very proud of this team and excited for the year ahead! Camp awards: Blue ribbon for evals second and third night Spirit Stick all 4 days Banana night 3!!! The 97th Annual Kansas State FFA Convention is a Wrap! Everyone had a blast this year! Braxdon Penry, Jill Walder, Morgan Casto, Wyatt Kimberlin, and Mckenzie Heller attended. Our FFA Chapter was recognized as part of the Chapter Seed Program. Mr. Buss played a part in opening ceremonies during third session! Mr. Buss, you will be missed! Congratulations on your retirement!

"Open Field" from 6-6:30pm Think of it like open gym — bring your cleats, bring your water, and come ready to move. Stick around after and watch the high school guys go to work! We are calling on the Tiger community! Mark your calendar for June 12 and 13th from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm to clean and paint the preschool rooms. This is the first big step in bringing the Ozawkie building into preschool mode. We will have the paint, brushes, rollers, etc...but we need YOU! Thank you for considering and if you are interested, show up on one or both of the days and we will make it happen!!
