On Wednesday, our FFA chapter competed in the Northeast District Dairy Cattle Judging Contest. Our team was led By Sophie T. (our high individual) and the team finished 25th out of 43 teams.

It was a great experience to be on a working dairy and creamery. The cattle and facility were wonderful, thank you Sabetha for hosting today. Rokey Road Dairy is west of Sabetha on Highway 36. We even were able to sample some of their ice cream. The friendly farm cats were popular and we were sad that we couldn’t take some home.
There will be more opportunities to learn and compete in FFA. “Good job” goes out to this crew on stepping up and striving to be more. TIGER ROAR!!

Next stop in the FFA CDE’s is Dairy Cattle at Sabetha today. Members will assess pedigrees and herd records, conduct management exercises, evaluate live dairy cattle, and present oral justifications for their decisions. Good luck!

Tuesday, 10/14, is picture retake day at the High School. This day is for students who need to be re-photographed and students who missed the original picture day. This is also Club/Group picture day.
If you purchased and were unhappy with your original Picture Package, please send it with your child on Retake Day. Your retake picture package will be produced and shipped to the school approximately 4 weeks after retake day. Please note, if your child is photographed on both the original and retake days, the retake picture will replace the original picture in certain products, like the yearbook.
