Congratulations to the Jefferson West Varsity Scholars Bowl team for placing 6th out of 10 teams at the Perry/Lecompton Varsity Invitational. The team consisted of Chase Holman, Natalie Meyer, Bryce Midgley, Makayla Traylor and Lucas Twombly.

This Friday, Jan. 14, is the Pink Out at the Jeff West vs Nemaha Central HS basketball games. There are several ways that you can get involved!
1. Attend the games and wear pink to show support
2. Make and personalize a luminary to give motivation or honor to someone touched by cancer
3. Give to the free-will donation collection at the game if you're able
** ALL donations are going to the Jefferson County Friends of Hospice**
Student Council wanted to give the donations to a local entity to help our community.
Tonganoxie HS Boys B'ball Tournament Update
Tonganoxie HS is now mandating the wearing of masks. All fans attending the games will need to wear a mask. The only exemption is for officials and athletes while they warmup and compete. Coaches will need to wear masks at all times and athletes while not warming up or competing will need to wear masks.

6:15pm = Varsity Girls
7:45pm = Varsity Boys
There will be no FR games played on Friday night.

Jefferson West High School, Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) members recently hosted the 47th annual Winter Formal. FCCLA shapes today’s students into tomorrow’s leaders and focuses on their community and their families by working together to create a better future. During the dance the FCCLA Chapter gathered together to crown the seniors that have shown the most leadership and have dedicated the most community service hours. This year's crowned Queen seniors shown in the center are from left to right: Josey Dove daughter of Jon Dove of Effingham and Nataleigh Holguin Nataleigh is the granddaughter of Deanna and Mark Huskey of Meriden. These students have portrayed great leadership in the chapter throughout their high school careers.
