Jefferson West High School gives a shout out to our very own, #14/26 Addison Garrett for reaching a softball career milestone after the Nemaha Central games. 300 career strikeouts and counting!!! Proud is an understatement. It's a great day to be a Lady Tiger!!

It's graduation day for the Class of 2025! Congratulations!!
Graduation is such a special time, both for the graduate and the people who love them! It marks an important milestone. It's a time of completion and recognition of hard work and achievement. There can be a lot of emotions, too – excitement, nervousness, and nostalgia as you close one chapter of your life and begin a new one full of opportunities, possibilities, and uncertainty.
Struggling to decide what to do after graduation is, and always will be, a sort of rite of passage to the next phase of your life. Like a parachute, your mind must be open to function. If you don’t like where you’re going, change direction. “The road to success is always under construction.” – Lily Tomlin
You and you alone are the only person who can live the life that writes the story you were meant to tell. You are your best thing, and we are sending you off on your next great adventure.
"Now go, and make interesting mistakes, make amazing mistakes, make glorious and fantastic mistakes. Break rules. Leave the world more interesting for your being here." – Neil Gaiman
"Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.” – Winston Churchill

As Jefferson West entered a larger league this year, League Art Day possessed a lot of unknowns. However, having been part of both leagues prior to the merger, Mrs. Conley knew one thing for certain: the quality of work would be outstanding thanks to the amazing art teachers we have in this area.
Our students rose to the occasion and brought home 10 awards, placing us solidly in the middle of the pack among the 11 participating schools. I’m incredibly proud of all our students, whether or not they received an award, for using their creativity to produce thoughtful, unique works with care and attention to detail.
Here are the results from the competition:
Abby Smith – 1st Place – Pen/Ink
Abby Smith – 1st Place – Charcoal
Irene Mason – 1st Place – Digital Art
Jackson DaSilva – 2nd Place – Hand built Ceramics
Wyatt Kimberlyn 3rd Place – Photography
Ashley Moser – 3rd Place – Sculpture
Sarah Pospisilova – Honorable Mention – Hand built Ceramics
Lucas Hannigan – Honorable Mention – Graphite Pencil
Kayla Dick – Honorable Mention – Sculpture
Osiris Unruh – Honorable Mention – Photography
