Congratulations to the Vocal Music Program for earning Five 1 ratings for small ensembles, Jerrett Martin got a 1 on his solo, and straight 1 ratings from all judges at the State large group!!!

Jeff West received a letter from Dr. Watson, the KSDE Commissioner of Education, that the Kansans Can Star Recognition Program recognizes our district's success in the outcome measures Kansans' told the KSDE they value. Our district is being recognized for our efforts in 2020 with the following recognitions by KSDE: Postsecondary Effectiveness: Bronze recognition Graduation: Copper recognition Prepared for High School Graduation: Copper recognition These recognitions acknowledge the hard work by all our teachers, administrators, and staff members for their combined efforts to provide a solid educational program for our students. We will continue to work towards excellence in education for our students. A recent report from US News & World Reports rated Jefferson West High School as the 19th rated high school in Kansas by their measures. I have attached a copy of the report from US News. HS JV Baseball Parents: Due to poor field conditions, the Jeff West vs Nemaha Central JV Baseball game scheduled for today has been postponed. A rescheduled date will be determined later. The baseball team will practice at Mammoth Sports after school.

JW @ Nemaha Central SB & BSB Games - POSTPONED The Jeff West @ Nemaha Central Baseball and Softball games have been postponed due to the wet field conditions. A rescheduled date for the games will be determined later. Teams will have practice after school.

Congratulations to our boys varsity golf team for finishing second out of eleven teams in Emporia April 1st. Lake Peet was top finisher at 5th place. Colby Farrant and Wyatt Barnett also medaled.

The JW Ag Ed program has decided to have their plant sale on a two different days. The sale dates will be Saturday, April 17 and 24 from 9-3. If you would like to have your planters filled before that date, bring them in to the greenhouse and drop off with Mr. Buss any time before the 17th.
