Congratulation to our Forensics members!! They competed at the State Speech and Drama Festival on May 4th and walked away with positive results. Earning 1 ratings were Madison Sage - Humorous Solo Acting; Sydnee Jackson - Prose Interpretation; Aubrey Phillips - Poetry Interpretation; and the team of Aubrey Phillips and Guy Phillips in Improvised Duet Acting. Earning ratings of 2 were Natalie Meyer - Impromptu Speaking; the team of Natalie Meyer and Madison Sage in Improvised Duet Acting; the team of Amber Nardo and Trent Turner in Improvised Duet Acting; and the team of Bryce Midgley and Sydnee Jackson in Improvised Duet Acting. #HeedtheRoar

eSports update from Coach, Alan Dick... Camden Pfeifer finished his season with a win in the consolation match to determine 3rd place. This means that the Jefferson West Esports team has earned its first spot on the podium at the national level!!! The MarioKart team won both of their matches this week and have advanced to the semifinal round, which will be played Monday afternoon. Two more matches for the gold! Leroy Staniec remains in contention for a placement in Minecraft, currently sitting in 7th place in the points standings. He will play his final round of matches on Tuesday afternoon. Congratulations to sophomore Jason Payne! Friday, 4/26, Jason set a new Jefferson West High School record in the Triple Jump, while also winning the competition. Jason's jump of 42'4.75" eclipsed the old record of 42'3.75" set in 1998 by Dan Shirley. MEGA TIGER ROAR!!

Congratulations to our JV golfers! They placed second in the Hiawatha JV Tournament on Monday. The Tigers were led by Talan Truhe with a 6th place finish and Alan Hawkins with an 8th place finish! TIGER ROAR!!
