From Head Volleyball Coach Janelle Noel...
The Lady Tigers Volleyball season came to an end today. We went 1-1 defeating Hiawatha first round. They battled and gave it their all against Nemaha Central, but came up short. This team has nothing to hang their heads about! I’m so proud of them and I know next year we will come back better and stronger. Thank you so much to our fans, parents, and everyone that supported us along the way!
Congratulations ladies on a GREAT season!! TIGER ROAR!!

From Head Girls Golf Coach, Darin Lawhorn...
Wow! What an ending to an amazing year. These six girls played amazing golf at the State tournament against the best competition. The Lady Tigers finished 4th in the state for the second year in a row. Last year we graduated all 6 of our varsity golfers. So this years six golfers had to be ready to step up to the challenge. I could not be more proud of a group of athletes. They put in an amazing summer of work to be ready for this moment. Leading the way for the Tigers were state medalist Katelin Lohman and Izzy Higgins. Please congratulate Katelin Lohman, Izzy Higgins, Emma Herring, Ryleigh Zitek, Taryn Taylor, and Sydney Sage on remarkable season. Coach Deiter and I are incredibly proud of these girls.

Jefferson West High School Site Council meeting tonight in the Library at 5:30pm.

Physics students are studying projectile motion. In this activity, they are measuring the horizontal distance traveled and the time of flight. They use this information to calculate the launch velocity and the maximum height of the rocket. Once they determine the launch velocity, they are able to predict the distance traveled based on the launch angle.
