Happy Thanksgiving
Greetings, Jefferson West Families and Community:
We hope this message finds you well! As we approach the Thanksgiving Break, we have been thinking about and are so thankful for the many successes of our students during this school year. They continue to make us so proud because of their focus, dedication, work ethic, and resiliency.
In this season of reflection and gratitude, we wanted to take a moment to simply and sincerely say “Thank You!” for everything you have done, are doing, and will continue to do to help and support your children, our teachers, and our school community.
As a service to our families and staff, we will provide a special covid test clinic for anyone that would like to get a covid test before Thanksgiving. This special covid test clinic will be held on Wednesday morning, November 24, 2021, from 7 AM to 9 AM at Jefferson West Elementary School in the school gym.
We hope that you and your family have a safe, enjoyable, and restful break.

Cheerleaders are going to State! Competition is this Saturday, November 20th at the Stormont Vail Event Center in Topeka. Gates open at 8 am and competition starts at 8:30 am. Price for admission is K-12: $11 and Adults: $16.
Jeff West performance times are Band Chant (9:09 am), Fight Song (10:44 am), Crowd Leading (12:20 pm). Top 6 in 3A will be announced at 1:06 pm. Finals begin at 2:34 pm with Awards around 3:15 pm.
The squad is scored on crowd engagement and involvement! They would love and appreciate your attendance and support!!!

Mallory is the daughter of Scott Young (Valley Falls) and Melinda Young (Topeka).

The Winter Sports Parent Meeting for HS Girls B'ball, HS Boys B'ball, HS Girls Wrestling, and HS Boys Wrestling is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 8th @ 7pm. This is an opportunity to meet with the coaching staff and learn about the expectations of the upcoming season. The meetings will take place in the following locations:

The Jeff West XC Team competed at the Sabetha Regional XC Meet this morning. The girls placed 11th and the boys placed 12th as a team.
