
eSports update from Coach, Alan Dick...
Camden Pfeifer finished his season with a win in the consolation match to determine 3rd place. This means that the Jefferson West Esports team has earned its first spot on the podium at the national level!!!
The MarioKart team won both of their matches this week and have advanced to the semifinal round, which will be played Monday afternoon. Two more matches for the gold!
Leroy Staniec remains in contention for a placement in Minecraft, currently sitting in 7th place in the points standings. He will play his final round of matches on Tuesday afternoon.
They are all doing so well! Keep up the support! TIGER ROAR!!

We have 6 players at the Middle School and 1 player at the High School who have advanced to the next round of tournament play for their respective games.
Camden Pfeifer has advanced to the Semifinals in Chess. He is competing in the Gold bracket with other advanced competitors.
Our remaining MarioKart Team (Ledger Brown, Abigail Downing, Caden Schuetz, Easton Haid, and Cade Arnold) will play Round 2 of their tournament tomorrow.
Leroy Staniec (Freshman) had a stellar performance in his last match and advances to the Semifinals ranked #4 in the nation!

It's time to think about your sports physical for next school year. Jefferson West has partnered with Cotton O'Neil Orthopedics & Sports Medicine to do just that and beat the rush!
This event is open to all Middle and High School student athletes and will be valid for the 2024-2025 sports season. Each physical will cost $20 paid via cash, check, or card. The student athletes do not have to be an active patient of Stormont Vail or Cotton O'Neil. This is a walk-in clinic; no appointment needed. PLEASE NOTE - NO immunizations will be given.


It's time to enroll for Driver's Education! For a student to qualify for Driver's Education in USD 340, he/she must be at least 14 years of age by May 24, 2024. Applications will be taken through APRIL 26th. The fee for the class is $155.00 and MUST accompany the application. The fee includes the cost of a driving permit. Limited space is available. Applications will be accepted in the order they are received.
Classroom instruction begins on May 28th and ends on June 7th, 8-11am at the High School. A student may not miss more than ONE scheduled class period.

Jefferson West AG Ed Greenhouse is preparing for their annual plant sale. We are taking pots to fill for you any time now. We refill them and hold them until the end of the month so you are ready to place them out, ready to display but letting us do the work to make them beautiful. Mr. Buss is in the Ag building daily from 8-11 and 12:30-3:30 for you to drop them off.
The FFA Greenhouse will be opening soon!! The first day of sales to the public will be Saturday, April 20, from 1-4pm. We will be open during school hours (8-11am and 12:30-3:30pm) after that point. If there are plants still here, we will have another Saturday sale on April 27 from 9am-12Noon. We will have both annual flowers and vegetable plants for sale.
Please come and support our ag program and students that have had such a large impact in producing these plants for you.


A few reminders;
Tomorrow Thursday March 28th we will be doing a hat day fundraiser for AJ Waters. Students may wear a hat if they donate a dollar to help support the Waters family.
Heidi Petesch has offered to provide ice cream sandwiches to the grade level that raises the most money.
Ms. Savanna is making decals to raise money for the family as well, please see the attached order form to place your order.
