Due to Riverside's low participation numbers in b'ball, all 3 1/2 games on Friday will be played in one gym. The first game will be played at 4pm instead of 4:30pm. The order of the games will be:
4:00pm = JV Girls
5:30pm = JV Boys (2 quarters)
6:15pm = Varsity Girls
7:45pm = Varsity Boys
There will be no FR games played on Friday night.

Jefferson West High School, Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) members recently hosted the 47th annual Winter Formal. FCCLA shapes today’s students into tomorrow’s leaders and focuses on their community and their families by working together to create a better future. During the dance the FCCLA Chapter gathered together to crown the seniors that have shown the most leadership and have dedicated the most community service hours. This year's crowned Queen seniors shown in the center are from left to right: Josey Dove daughter of Jon Dove of Effingham and Nataleigh Holguin Nataleigh is the granddaughter of Deanna and Mark Huskey of Meriden. These students have portrayed great leadership in the chapter throughout their high school careers. The Jeff West vs Council Grove HS B'ball game scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 21st has been postponed due to Council Grove's close contact quarantine and closing school next week.

Last weekend Josey Dove took part in the NEKMEA (North East Kansas Music Educators Association) District Choir. She was one of 300 students selected to sing as part of this ensemble. She was also one of TWO students that was awarded the NEKMEA Scholarship. This award is given to students who are planning to pursue music education for their degree in college. Congratulation Josey!
