Every year during the month of March, Kansas celebrates Youth Art Month (YAM) by hosting an exhibition at the Topeka Public Library. Teachers from all over Kansas are invited to choose one outstanding student to showcase at this event! This year's selection is Olivia Meyer, one of our art room seniors! Olivia has taken art since her freshman year, often taking more than one class a semester. Olivia says she doesn’t even remember how many art classes she’s taken because she’s taken so many. Olivia is always willing to jump in and learn no matter whether she’s done a similar assignment or not! This year, Olivia has really had a breakthrough in her realistic pencil drawings. Her drawing of Noah and Allie from the Notebook will be featured at the Topeka Public Library during the month of March! Please take time to stop by the library to check it out and be sure to tell her how awesome she is! CONGRATULATIONS OLIVIA!!
