Before winter break, Jefferson West High School submitted 12 pieces of artwork from 5 talented students to the Scholastic Regional Art Competition. This prestigious competition is open to schools across eastern Kansas, with over 2,500 submissions each year, making for tough competition. This year was no exception, and we are thrilled to announce that 4 of our entries received awards. Of those, 3 were selected for exhibition (Gold and Silver Keys) and will be displayed at Mark Arts in Wichita from February through March.
Both Abigail Smith and Ashley Moser earned awards, and their works will be featured in the exhibition! These are the students who participated, along with their submitted work and the awards they received.

Friday, January 17, is Late Start! Busses will run two hours late, and classes begin at 10am. The Washburn Tech and Highland Tech busses will run as scheduled.
Also, there is NO SCHOOL for USD 340, Washburn Tech, and Highland Tech on Monday, January 20. All classes will resume as scheduled on Tuesday, January 21.
